Digital Printing Not Just Toner on Paper

One of the benefits of digital printing is its ability to print on many different substrates, not just paper made from trees. There are now synthetic ‘papers’, such as Fusion Digital Papers, made from polyester. They come in various thicknesses, finishes and backings that give designers and marketers many more options for their print products.

An exciting substrates is the repositionable sheets. These are ‘papers’ that have a woven fabric feel on one side, great for printing in color, that are backed with a white card face stock also suitable for printing. This fabric can be peeled off the backing and will stick on anything. And it can be peeled off repeatedly and restuck again on any surface. Great for posters, signs, bumper stickers, badges, etc.

Other synthetic papers have a soft, silky feel, and are tear resistant, waterproof, stain resistant, almost permanent. They print beautifully and are perfect for menus, placemats, and industrial uses. Still others are made from rigid polyester with a coated surface, also tear resistant and waterproof, great for outdoor applications and tough conditions.

So don’t just think of putting toner on paper when you think digital printing. Ask us about these synthetic substrates that can give print products new uses for your product marketing and mail campaigns.
