Web-to-Print 101
What is Web-to-Print?
Sometimes called Web2Print or W2P, Web-to-Print is actually a prepress process that connects digital content with physical print production. This process enables anyone to create, store, edit, and approve templates of various print products, such as stationery, mailers, posters, greeting cards, folders and collateral print material. These templates are created by BFSDaniels from a customers’ PDF or native graphic files and stored in a customer’s online catalog that allows access to “approved” users, and is sorted by department, school, location, or group.
Users select a template of a document, make edits, approve a PDF proof, select a quantity at a listed price, and place the order, all online. Payment is set up in advance with credit card, Pcards, or corporate billing. The approved order enters our automated processing system where the jobs are printed and shipped, usually within 48 hours.
