Print-On-Demand online catalog now with user controlled content
BFS|Daniels designs and deploys a Higher Education online Print-On-Demand catalog with inline frames (iFrames) allowing users access to quick and easy content updates.
BFS|Daniels has been pushing the limits of Print-On-Demand (POD) for the past few years. Our clients have asked us to design and deploy content-friendly sites, and now by using iFrames we have raised the bar for homepage design and remote content updates.
The use of iFrames in combination with Printable Technologies PrintOne software has created an easy way for designers to update their online catalog landing pages via the web. By incorporating an inline frame into the architecture, any HTML document or link can be embedded within the existing page. Clients that use iFrames with Print-On-Demand can now update their own messages, remotely, at no cost.
In the example below, Boston University Communications team is able to update content, while still maintaining brand standards for their University.

Our design staff and PrintOne developers have turned the homepage into an interactive experience that can include audio, video, and external links. When the BU communications department updates their webpage it automatically gets updated within their online Print-On-Demand site. BU has complete control over the user interface for content and link updates. The iFrame also allows BU to stay in direct contact with thousands of their users, at no additional cost.
The primary benefit is our clients now don’t need to contact us for simple web content updates for online Print-On-Demand interface. Customers can make their changes whenever they want, and BFS|Daniels does the printing and fulfillment.
A wonderful combination of user generated design and online printing.
